The Outland Living Portable Propane Fire Pit is a compact gas firebowl built for camping, tailgating and garden use. Made from alloy steel with a powder coated finish, it weighs 10kg and measures 48cm x 48cm x 28cm. No firewood, no ash and no lingering smoke smell on your clothes.
Turn the chrome valve knob and the burner lights within seconds, producing up to 58,000 BTU of heat. A pre-attached 3-metre hose keeps the propane tank out of sight and 2kg of natural lava rocks create a flickering, realistic flame. Flame height is fully adjustable to suit the occasion.
This model is CSA approved, meaning it stays usable during most campfire bans where wood fires are restricted. No tools or assembly are needed straight from the box.
It is designed to run off a standard 20lb (9kg) propane tank, which is not included. The pre-attached 3-metre hose connects to the tank and keeps it away from the flame area, so you can hide it behind furniture or in a bag beside the pit.
Run time depends on flame setting. On a low flame, a standard 20lb tank can last around 10 hours. On a high flame, expect it to burn through gas faster, so it is worth carrying a spare tank on longer camping trips or all-day use.
It is CSA approved, which means it meets safety standards that allow use during most campfire bans since it produces no sparks or embers. However, rules vary by region and some bans restrict all open flames including gas. Always check local fire restrictions before lighting it.
No assembly is needed. The unit arrives ready to use out of the box. You simply attach the hose to your propane tank, turn the regulator knob and light the burner. The whole process takes a few minutes.
The burner outputs up to 58,000 BTU per hour, which is enough to keep four to five people warm around it on a cool evening. The flame height is adjustable, so you can lower the output if you want a smaller, more efficient flame.
The fire pit includes 2kg (4.4lb) of natural lava rocks. These sit over the burner and help create a more realistic flickering flame effect while also spreading heat more evenly across the bowl surface rather than concentrating it in one spot.
The steel body has a powder coated finish that resists weather damage and many owners report leaving it outside uncovered without issues. That said, a cover is recommended to protect the regulator and valve components from prolonged moisture exposure and to extend the working life of the seals.
The fire pit ships with a pre-attached 3-metre hose, a fully adjustable regulator with a chrome valve knob and 2kg of natural lava rocks. A propane tank is not included. Optional extras like a carry bag, cover and natural gas conversion kit are sold separately.
